|On Sunday, we shared in worship the beloved and well known 23rd Psalm. Pastor Shelly was right in suggesting this is a wonderful Psalm to keep in the pocket of our minds, meaning that if we hold the words from the Psalm in our recall, we can draw on their rich meaning and imagery in our every need. Many have the entire Psalm memorized. If you don’t, or if you’d prefer a shorter paraphrase, consider putting into the “pocket of you mind” the refrain we repeatedly sang on Sunday: Shepherd me, O God, beyond my wants, beyond my fears, from death in to life.
Think about it.
May God, the Good Shepherd, guide and protect you each day. And may Jesus, who calls himself the gate of his sheepfold, bless you as he opens to all the way to abundant life.
