Parish Health Ministry

The Parish Health Ministry is a ministry of building health, hope, and healing throughout the community of Our Savior and beyond. We are called to be stewards of the body—our own and in the way we care for others in the body of Christ—our Parish Health Ministry helps us along that way. Our Parish Health Ministry is led by Bonnie Lanyi, R.N., and Frances Stroh, R.N., who work in partnership with the pastors, congregational health professionals, and all in the “family.”

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Health Ministry Team to weave threads of healing and wholeness into the congregation. This process integrates faith and Wholistic Health (mind, body and spirit) to promote wellness and serve those who are experiencing challenges.

Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings

Once a month there are blood pressure screenings after every worship service in the “Cry Room” off of the narthex. Check the Calendar for specific dates. Blood Pressure screenings also available with the parish nurse by appointment.

Annual Health Fair

The 2011 Health Fair, on Saturday, November 19, 9:00-12:00, will include the VNA shot clinic, Health Education, American Cancer Society, the Indian River Blood Bank and more.

All caring people are invited to participate in this ministry, the second Thursday of each month, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room, beginning Sept. 9.
