Events

September

September 1 - Sunday School Registration Night: Wed., 6:00 PM, Fellowship Hall. Pizza, salad and drinks provided.
September 1 - Confirmation meeting at 6:15 PM, pizza included! Confirmation is for young people, generally 7th - 9th grade, to grow in relationships and understanding in their faith.
September 5 : Regular Sunday worship services resume at 8:30 and 11:00 AM.
September 12: First day of Children's Sunday School! 9:45 AM. Opening rally in the Fellowship Hall.
September 10-11: YOUTH: Rock the Universe.
September 15: Music Ministries resume on Wednesdays. Handbells Bells at 5:30 PM in the Sanctuary and Sanctuary Choir at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room.
October 10: Blanket Sunday - Donate a gently used blanket or money for the purchase of new
blankets. Blankets are distributed locally as needed.

Our Choir Needs New Robes!
Our OSLC Sanctuary and Carillon Handbell Choirs have been wearing the same robes for more than 20 year! We welcome offerings with "choir robes" on your check!
Food Pantry Donations - Please continue to donate non-perishable food items and money in the basket in the Narthex.

God's Work, Our Hands

Dinners at The Source - Help prepare a once a month Friday night meal for The Source, a Christ-centered outreach and resource center for the homeless and near-homeless. Contact the Church Office.
The Homeless Family Center - The Homeless Family Center provides emergency and transitional shelter for homeless families. Participate in the "Cook-a-meal program." To get involved, contact Jodi Simmons at the HFC office, 567-2755

Youth Group - Wednesday nights, 6:30 PM, Rooms 2-3.
The Lord’s Prayer - Starting Sept. 12, 9:45 AM, a six-week Adult Sunday School study facilitated by Melissa Tripson (roving location: Room 6 & 7 or
East end of Fellowship Hall).
“They met Jesus” - Starting Sept. 12, 9:45 AM, a ten-
week Adult Sunday School series facilitated by Kelly Elsebough and Mike and Lana Heinze. (Room 4)
An Evangelism Bible Study - With the Outreach and Hospitality Mission Team, 4th Wednesday of the month, starting Sept. 22, 6:30 PM, Fellowship Hall.
Wednesday Morning
Bible Class - 10:00 AM in
Room 4 with Pr. Richard Clark. Come and learn what God expects of us and how God can help us to handle life’s problems.
God Pause - Based on the Lectio Divina method of praying and reflecting on scripture. Wednesdays, September 8 and 22nd at noon in Room 4. Bring your Bible.
Women's Brown Bag Lunch - WELCA, 11:30 AM, 3rd Thursday of each month, Rooms 6 & 7, have lunch, socialize and enjoy a guest speaker.
