Ryan partially credits his love and respect of Church music to his many years as a student of Lutheran Summer Music Program where he also served as a counselor and summer staff member, as well as his upbringing in the Lutheran church and parochial school setting.
Ryan has been a part of leading and designing worship services for Synod Assemblies, Bishop Installations, Conferences on Ministry, Pan-Lutheran gatherings and Association of Lutheran Older Adults events as well as chair for Synod Assembly Worship. Ryan also is a member of the ELCA Global Musician Team. He is a published composer with Augsburg Fortress and contributor/author to the online Augsburg Fortress Prelude Music Planner resource. Ryan serves on the board of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and recently toured Poland and Germany with the Richard Zielinski Singers, a Professional American Choir in which he is a charter member.
Outside of music, worship, liturgy and the church Ryan enjoys a wide range of activities including anything in the water, sun, cooking, wine and the beach.
