|“John the B” (read Baptizer) always serves as a needed Advent reminder that the Word of God often comes to and through unexpected people and in unexpected ways. Thanks for allowing me to share a few examples last weekend during worship. If you couldn’t be there, check out our website’s “worship with us now” page to view the 11 service which includes the precious baptism of little Emilia as we joined her family in welcoming her into the life of Christ
Thanks also to our singers, ringers, and readers who partnered with Deacon Ryan Hostler and Oboist Sarah Diehl Luciani in offering a most beautiful and meaningful evening of Advent Lessons and Carols!
Thanks in advance to our precious Sunday School children (and their awesome teachers) who this coming weekend will lead our worship with their Christmas Pageant, “Rise Up, Shepherds, and Follow.” As a reminder, Mary, Joseph, Jesus and a few shepherds and angels will be at all services, but the whole cast of characters (little animals included), will be present at Sunday’s late service.
Finally, thank you to the entire family of Our Savior as you show and share the love of Christ in this special and sacred season. It is a joy to partner with you!
May our eyes, ears, and hearts be open as God’s Word continues to dwell among us in unexpected ways and through unexpected people!
Blessed Advent, Pastor Mark, Deacon Ryan and the staff of Our Savior
