|Hello from Decorah, Iowa!
While it was only a week ago that I left sunny Vero Beach, it feels like much longer. It’s been really easy to get into the swing of things: having Morning Prayer at the beginning of the day, followed by either Musicianship class (music theory) or “Smambles” (small ensembles), then Band and lunch, Orchestra, a flute lesson every two days, electives (mine is conducting every two days), dinner, Evening Prayer (sometimes with a faculty recital preceding it), and finally floor time, which is a group activity the people on each floor do together. It may seem like a lot, but I do have free time to practice, read, swim in the pool, hang out with friends, or take a power nap. I’m having a really great time but am still missing all of you back home. But, until I come back I’ll keep posting my adventures on Facebook like I have been, and I really appreciate all the nice comments I’ve gotten on them. It really means a lot to me that you all are keeping in touch.
