Our Savior Lutheran
|Mary Hyde and Friends in Concert!
This Sunday, May 1st – 4:00 p.m.
Join us for a wonderful fun-filled concert of music from Our Savior Musicians of all ages. Rumor has it that violins, oboes, clarinets, piano, handbells, bagpipes and an accordionist will be playing as well. The free-will offering will help support the Scholarship Program of Our Savior for students like Mary that will attend Lutheran Summer Music Program this year and beyond. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Click Here to learn more about Lutheran Summer Music.
Pastor Jack is foregoing his regular OSEnews message this week for a Call Committee update!
The Call Committee is excited to share that a candidate is under consideration for the Lead/Co-Pastor position, to work seamlessly with Co-Pastor Shelly and Associate in Ministry, Ryan, which will begin when Pastor Jack retires at the end of the summer.
The Call Committee is grateful that their work which began in January 2016 was able to build upon extensive research and preparation by the Transition Team who had been working on laying the groundwork for a smooth transition since the start of 2015.
We are excited to tell you we have an outstanding candidate whose paperwork we are carefully reviewing and whom we will be meeting and interviewing very soon. We cannot say more than that at this point since confidentiality is required in the call process and for the sake of the individual who is under consideration by Our Savior’s Call Committee is no exception. However, we will continue to give you updates as things move along.
Kelsey Frago, Call Committee member gathered us around this scripture and prayer at our last meeting. “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so the you may be able to discern what is best.” Philippians 1: 9-10
The Call Committee —
Kelsey Frago, Michael Henize,
Chris Jacobs, Jan Eggert,

Host home needed for two Lutheran students from Suriname, June 12-16
The two students will be in the U.S. to attend our ELCA Florida Bahamas Synod Assembly and the Florida Bahamas Bishop’s School at Luther Springs, FL. In between these two events they have 5 nights (June 12-16) in which they need a host home. Ben Smith, member of OSLC who spent time in Suriname, has offered to help host the students during the day while they are in Vero Beach, but housing is needed. Both students speak English and have traveled to the U.S. before. One of the students attended the ELCA National Youth Gathering in Detroit last year and the other student has been a part of the ELCA Glocal musicians team. Reply to this email if you would like to have a Lutheran “international exchange student” for five nights.
