Our Savior Lutheran Church
So which one are you? Prodigal son; elder responsible son; welcoming father? Thanks, Pastor Shelly for walking us through that most familiar story again this past weekend. Many of us have heard it since we were kids, but over the years it does take on different meanings, and we can see ourselves at different times in all of those main characters. No wonder it’s been called the greatest short story ever. And for me, a big part of what makes it the greatest short story ever is the thread of grace that runs through it. As our Lenten journey continues, here are a couple of unrelated things that may be helpful for you to know. There are only 2 more Wednesdays for our midweek Lenten services at 10am and 7pm. Not too late to join us if you haven’t already. And if you have, you know how special they are. Soup Dinner at 6 as well in Fellowship Hall.
Next weekend is already that “Spring Forward” time of the year. So, move your clocks ahead on Saturday night, or be late for church on Sunday! (This is the time change we pastors have nightmares about…forgetting to change our clocks and coming in late for church!)
See you in church! Pastor Jack Diehl +
