About 30 of us from Our Savior began this Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in the MLK Jr parade in Gifford. We did this as a way of connecting our communities and celebrating being together as God’s people. Not only we were able to make a connection with folks in the Gifford community, but joining us in the parade were members of Temple Beth Shalom. What a great ecumenical and interfaith way to share God’s abundant grace with each other!
Speaking of community, our Wednesday suppers continue with a meat loaf supper at 6pm. Also on Wednesday evening are handbell rehearsal at 5:30, Youth Group at 6:30 and choir at 7:30.
SPECIAL NOTICE! This coming Sunday, January 24 at 9:45am in the church we will hold our annual congregational meeting. We will vote on our 2016 budget, elect a Call Committee (!) and update on other things at Our Savior, like new church seating in the future! Be sure to join us for this important meeting!
Then on Sunday afternoon at 4pm we get to enjoy some great music with The New Orleans Nighthawks, one of the best dixieland and swing combos in the South!
