|Happy 4th Day of Christmas!
Yes, somewhat contrary to the culture’s schedule, Christmas is not over. Rather we are now at the 4th of the 12 days of Christmas! And what a better way to end the old year and bring in the new than basking in the Light of the Christmas Good News for these 12 days!
As a part of our Christmas celebration, this coming weekend (Jan. 2-3) the Epiphany story will be our focus at worship, remembering the Magi who came from the east to worship the Christ Child. This event is a reminder that God’s promises to bring Light to the Darkness and Peace on Earth is for the WHOLE world! Our worship schedule returns to it’s regular times of 6pm on Saturday and 8:30 and 11am Sunday. Sunday School resumes for all ages this Sunday, 9:45-10:45am. Wonderful new Adult Education class begins: “Christian Artists in our Midst,” a four-week series in the Quiet Room. Come and learn more about people who use their creative talents for the glory of God (icons, liturgical art, music composition, and stained glass).
So, come join us and start the New Year off right as we join the nations in bowing down before and gathering around the table of the Prince of Peace, Emmanuel, God with us!
See you in church! Pastor Jack Diehl+ www.oursaviorelca.com
